Interested in learning how to build and use energy system optimization models for the energy transition?
Enrollment is now open for the PhD course “Open Science for Energy Transition: Tools for Energy Model Optimization and Analysis” focused on long-term energy system planning and modeling, organized by the Department of Energy at Politecnico di Torino.
ℹ️ More information and the detailed program available here: 01WLYIV
The course features lectures from leading researchers in energy system modeling:
· Laura Savoldi, Full Professor at Politecnico di Torino, working on nuclear energy systems and integrated energy system modeling for the energy transition.
· Michel Noussan, Associate Professor at Politecnico di Torino, focusing on energy system analysis, decarbonization pathways, and sustainable mobility.
· Valeria Di Cosmo, Associate Professor at Università di Torino, specializing in energy policy, energy economics and electricity market analysis.
· Anderson Rodrigo de Queiroz, Associate Professor at North Carolina State University, expert in optimization methods for energy systems and planning under uncertainty with TEMOA, member of the Open Energy Outlook team.
· Joe DeCarolis, Head the Department of Engineering and Public Policy at Carnegie Mellon University, founder and lead developer of the TEMOA framework and former Administrator of the U.S. Energy Information Administration.
With the collaboration of Matteo Nicoli, Postdoc at Università di Torino.
