Advanced Optical Diagnosis of Combustion Processes in Propulsion Systems for Sustainable Mobility by Prof. Antonio García
The teaching activities are structured into four modules, combining theory, case studies, and data analysis, to provide PhD students with an advanced understanding of optical diagnostics in sustainable propulsion systems.
The research activities will focus on exploring synergies between DENERG and CMT’s expertise to strengthen collaborations with industrial partners.
In the following the research program.
1. Thermal Safety of Combustion and Battery Systems
Investigating the coupling between combustion processes and thermal management in hybrid propulsion systems.
Analyzing failure mechanisms and safety measures in lithium-ion batteries.
2. Enhancing Diagnostic Capabilities
Using advanced optical techniques to assess combustion dynamics in alternative fuel engines.
Developing experimental protocols to improve safety and performance evaluations.
3. Collaboration and Knowledge Transfer
Building a research bridge between DENERG, CMT, and industrial stakeholders to foster innovation.
Positioning this collaboration as a foundation for future joint projects and gran
applications, such as those aligned with the European Green Deal goals.
