Workshop "The soundscape approach for supportive and healthy built environments - techniques for field recordings, data collection, and design strategies"

Francesco Aletta is an architect and urban sound planner by training, research associate at University College London (UK). He has been active in soundscape studies for more than 10 years with an interest in methods for measuring soundscape perception by people and standardization processes, as well as how to translate soundscape descriptors in languages other than English.

In the following the program of the workshop:
Monday May 30th 13:00-16:00h [Lecture room 2T]
(2 hours) face-to-face lecture, Francesco Aletta
Soundscape – Theory and models; methods for data collection and analysis; design approach;
standardization in soundscape studies

Tuesday May 31st 13:00-14:30h [Lecture room 9T – meeting point]
(1.5 hours) soundwalk, Francesco Aletta + Louena Shtrepi

Wednesday June 1st 8:30-13:00h Lecture room 11
