Bio: After the Diploma study at Moscow State M.W. Lomonossow University, Department of Physics, Dr. Nadezda BAGRETS got her PhD at the Physikalisches Institut, University of Karlsruhe in 2009. Since 2010 she is research associate at the Institute for Technical Physics, Karlsruhe Institute of Technology.
Her field of expertise includes the Mechanical testing on structural materials at cryogenic and room temperatures, the Measurements of thermal properties, as well as the Magnetic measurements for superconducting materials, the electrical and electro-mechanical tests on superconducting cables and components, the characterisation of high temperature superconducting tapes and cables and of soldered and mechanical joints between superconductors.
She is now coordinating the international Round Robin Test for Tensile Test for High Temperature Superconducting Tapes at low temperatures - Standardisation work in IEC/TC90 “Superconductors”.
She regularly serves as reviewer for the most relevant International Journals publishing researches on Applied Superconductivity.
