Guglielmina Mutani is graduated Civil Engineer (1993), PhD in Energetics (1997), Assistant Professor (1999) and Associate Professor (2022) in Building Physics and Energy Systems at the Department of Energy at Politecnico di Torino (Italy).
Her research activity is mainly focused on: energy certification of buildings, energy consumption models for space heating at district and urban scale, analyses of thermal comfort in the external environment, evaluation of renewable energy sources available on the territory and energy communities.
The activities carried out mainly refer to national and international research programs; recently she participated in the following projects: EEB - Zero Energy Buildings in Smart Urban District (2014-16) funded by MIUR; ENER.COM (2020-21) "Programma Operativo Regionale Investimenti a favore della crescita e dell'occupazione F.E.S.R. 2014/2020" funded by Regione Piemonte with ACEA PINEROLESE INDUSTRIALE SpA, ENVIRONMENT PARK SpA and SSB Progetti srl; Next Generation We (2022) founded by Fondazione Compagnia di San Paolo with the municipalities of Scalenghe, Inverso Pinasca, Pragelato, Pomaretto, Vigone, Cantalupa and Torre Pellice.
Since 1996 she teaches in the School of Architecture and Urban Studies and Planning at Politecnico di Torino about the disciplines of Building Physics and Energy Systems; since 2017 she is member of Urban and Regional Development Ph.D. Program and since 2019 she is member of the scientific committee of the Responsible Risk Resilience Centre (R3C) at Politecnico di Torino.
