TEBE Reserch Groups joins the international consortium LINKA20220 on “nanotechnology-based thermochromic (nanoTC) materials for adaptive building envelopes”

Prof. Valentina Serra, Prof. Marco Perino and Dr. Fabio Favoino, part of the Technology Energy Building Environment (TEBE) research group, join a network involving six international partners (Polito, Turin, Italy, UNSW in Sydney, Australia, NUS in Singapure, Cal Poly in Pomona, USA, TUGraz in Graz, Austria, and IETcc-CSIC in Madrid, Spain), led by Dr. Gloria Perez at the Torroja Institute (IETcc-CSIC). The two-year project (2020-2021), aims to be the seed for a wider multidisciplinary and multinational consortium for development of nanotechnology-based thermochromic (nanoTC) materials for adaptive building envelopes as a smart approach to improve energy efficiency of buildings and reduce environmental impact of urban areas, by achieving the following objectives:
- Selection of viable nanoTC materials and technologies for adaptive building envelopes.
- Set-up of competitive multidisciplinary and international consortium for application to European calls for funding the complete development of selected nanoTC building materials.
