Paolo Emilio Roccato was born in Torino on 1979. He got his Master Degree Electrical Engineering of the Politecnico di Torino in 2005, with a thesis on the magnetic field shielding in the frequency range 1-100 kHz. In 2005 he has obtained the abilitation to the Engineering Profession. At the moment he is a Ph.D. student of the Doctoral Course in Electrical Engineering at the Politecnico di Torino. His research subject is electrotechnics, especially focused on magnetostrictive device, for vibration dumping, and magnetic shielding technique. He joined in different conference: in December 2005 he was in Lyon for the MGE as invited listener by Centre de Génie Electrique de Lyon; in June 2006 he was in Biella for the Third ARPA Meeting, where he presents a poster contribution on the magnetic shielding; in September 2007 he was in Cardiff for the Soft Magnetic Materials Conference (SMM18) where he presents a poster contribution on a magnetostrictive device equipped for dynamic magneto-mechanical characterization and was co-author of another work on the magnetic shielding of an underground cable.
Since 2006 he has worked as assistant lecturer in some circuit theory courses (in the degree classes of Electrical, Mechanical and Aeronautics Engineering)and he is also co-author of a textbook now used at Politecnico di Torino.
